Dear Boris Johnson,
I am writing to express both my confusion and astonishment at how the UK governments response to racist attacks in regards to English National Football. The government has left very different answers to the same questions through contradictory actions. For example, you condemned the racist abuse towards Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka following the Euro 2020. However, previously, you deemed it ok for fans to boo players taking the knee. Another example: Priti Patel also condemned the racist abuse but previously labelled the anti-racist message of the Three Lions as "Gesture Politics". This concerns and confuses me deeply.
